ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A pair of crashes Friday afternoon on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County caused major backups on the highway.

There were reported crashes on both northbound and southbound lanes and traffic was backed up for miles in both directions as of 1:30 p.m.

Shoulders were blocked on both lanes and it was slow going around International Golf Parkway.

It wasn’t clear if the crashes involved injuries.

No other information was immediately available.
