LAKE CITY, Fla. – A 23-year-old man was killed Monday night in a shooting in Lake City, police said.
Officers responded just before 10 p.m. Monday to NW Ashley Street after a call that someone had been shot.
They found a witness performing CPR on Cristopher Alid Cruz Aleman, who was suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics and officers took over, but Aleman died from his injuries.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office helped secure the crime scene, and investigators began interviewing Aleman’s family and possible witnesses.
