NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA, Fla. — A 68-year-old woman was leaving Winn Dixie on US-1 and Burgess Geiger Road in Hilliard when she was in a car crash Monday afternoon.
The woman, who was from Folkston, Georgia, died on the scene.
She was leaving the parking lot and turning onto US-1 when she turned into the path of a tractor-trailer.
The tractor trailer struck the driver’s side of her car.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
