CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — More than 70 dogs and cats were surrendered from a Middleburg home on Tuesday, according to a Clay County spokesperson.
The animals were taken from the Middleburg home to Omega Park and will be evaluated to ensure they are healthy.
The owner who surrendered the animals is not facing any criminal charges, according to the county.
The county said more information will be released soon regarding how the community can assist with the situation, including the possibility of adoptions.
