Bradford County deputies find 3 fatally shot in home after 11-year-old calls 911

LAWTEY, Fla. – Three female victims were found shot to death early Tuesday morning at a home in Bradford County after an 11-year-old called 911 several times about a “domestic incident,” investigators said.

Deputies were called to the home on Northeast 17th Avenue, west of U.S. 301 in Lawtey, around 2 a.m. Tuesday after a child called the Sheriff’s Office multiple times.

Investigators said they found a 46-year-old man walking in the front yard of the property with several cuts on his body.

When they kept searching the area, they found the three female victims inside the house dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The ages of the victims have not been released.

Investigators said the 11-year-old who called 911 had a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to a local hospital.

The man found in the yard was also taken to a local hospital. Investigators called him a suspect but have not said if he was arrested in the homicides.

News4JAX is not naming the man until authorities confirm an arrest in the case.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and medical examiner were called to the scene to help investigate.
