Cold, Candy and Calories Burned

Sunny, cool and breezy with highs shy of seasonal averages today.  Turning cold tonight with Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories through early Wednesday.  If your New Year’s resolution was to burn a few extra calories, I’ve got good news.  Colder weather does indeed help the body burn more calories!  Now if only the leftover holiday candy calories stayed in 2023.  After a cold morning, Wednesday will be warmer with increasing clouds and a chance of showers and storms late.  Scattered showers with storms will continue through midday Thursday with more to come late Friday and Saturday.

Tonight:  Clear and cold.  Frost Advisory, Freeze Warning.

Wednesday:  A cold start then warmer with increasing clouds, showers late, 90 percent.  Freeze Warning, Frost Advisory 3 a.m. – 9 a.m.  A cold start with freezing temperatures and frost across inland areas for SE GA and NE FL.  Mostly clear early then becoming partly cloudy.  Morning lows in the 30s for SE GA, 30 to low 40s for NE FL.  Afternoon highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.  Wind:  E/NE 5-15 mph.  Cloudy with scattered showers, isolated storms overnight through Thursday afternoon.

Hazards:  Freezing and frosty temperatures early Wednesday morning.
