HASTINGS, Fla. — A new library and community center will be built in Hastings in St. Johns County.
While locals are excited that a new, bigger library is on the way, many people are not wild about what it could look like. Some people think the proposed design is too modern for the traditional-looking Main Street.
According to the organization called Main Street Hastings Inc., the architect has agreed to consider adding more historic elements to the redesign. This requires written comments to be submitted by noon Wednesday, July 5th in order not to delay the project OR create extra costs.
If you want to give share your thoughts about the design, you can send emails to HastingsMainSt@gmail.com OR gcaldwell@sjcfl.us.
