Duval County Public Schools’ enrollment season begins Monday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Duval County Public Schools will host two “School Showcase Saturdays” as parents begin enrolling students in kindergarten, magnet, VPK and other programs.

Enrollment season for the district begins Monday with some important dates to remember:

• Kindergarten enrollment opens Jan. 1.

• Applications for Magnet, Special Transfer Option, and VPK schools open Jan. 1 and close Feb. 29.

The school showcase Saturdays will allow parents to take a tour and talk with school leaders and educators at schools they’re interested in.

• Jan. 27 – Middle and high schools

• Feb. 3 – Elementary schools

All district schools will be open on their designated Saturday for families to stop by.
