Entering the second half with a scoreline of 0-0, the Mustangs shifted the momentum 9 minutes into the period. Alias Goldsberry’s skillful dribbler found the back of the net, giving the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. Moments later, Omar Trto’s well-executed cross set up Daniel Moreno’s impressive stop and pop move, extending the lead to 2-0.
The Mustangs continued their offensive prowess, finding the net two more times and securing a convincing 4-0 victory. With this triumph, Mandarin advances to the Regional finals, set to host West Orange next Wednesday in the Elite Eight.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ soccer action, Bartram Trail faced Hagerty, aiming to continue their impressive track record with three out of the last four state titles.
