The Eagles returned all but one starter from last season’s team.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The road to Lakeland continues! One of the teams still in contention is the Episcopal Eagles.
Chip Stroud’s team is coming off a 62-44 victory against San Jose Prep, boasting a record of 23-4. Stroud notes that the program has been on an upward trajectory over the last five years.
Last season, the Eagles fell short in the regional quarterfinals to Masters Academy, using that disappointment as motivation for their current successful run. “These guys are on a mission,” Stroud remarked.
“They’ve had that mindset since literally day one. We have players in here shooting way too early. That’s the mentality they need to truly improve.” Stroud’s squad includes four starters from last year’s team, and he added that they have some unfinished business.
The basketball program at Episcopal is steadily forging a legacy of success, and at the forefront of this endeavor is Head Basketball Coach Chip Stroud.
With a wealth of experience and dedication, Coach Stroud is currently embarking on his eleventh season as the leader of the Eagles. Through his strategic vision and coaching prowess, he has played a pivotal role in cultivating a winning tradition within the team.
Under his leadership, the basketball program has seen notable achievements, fostering a culture of determination, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Coach Stroud’s strategic approach to the game, coupled with his ability to inspire and motivate, has contributed significantly to the team’s consistent growth and success on the court.
