NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA, Fla. — A Fernandina Beach man is dead after a crash that occurred at approximately 6:04 a.m., according to a Florida Highway patrol report.
The report said a motorcycle driven by a 63-year-old Fernandina Beach man was traveling northbound on U.S. 17 near Quail Ridge Road.
A pickup truck driven by a Yulee man was attempting to turn left from Quail Ridge Road when the motorcycle impacted the left rear passenger door of the truck and the rider was ejected, troopers said.
The man sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene, the report said. The pickup truck driver received minor injuries.
