JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A crash with injuries is heavily impacting traffic on I-295 on Jacksonville’s Westside.
According to FDOT, multiple vehicles are involved including a semi truck that fell off the overpass. It occurred near Pickettville Road and is categorized as “major,” the agency said.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched at 10:53 a.m. arriving about 20 minutes later, according to FHP. The agency said the crash is involving a fatality.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department is at the scene and reported a person trapped.
Crews are working a traffic accident in the 1700 block of Pickettville road with one person confirmed trapped…expect delays in the area.
