JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The cause of a fire that occurred at an apartment complex in the Argyle Forest area of Jacksonville Wednesday morning is under investigation by the Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives Investigations.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department told First Coast News that at 12:15 a.m., they received a call learning that two apartment units were destroyed at Westland Park Apartments, located at 6710 Collins Rd. JFRD also posted on their X page that the fire was a “second alarm fire,” meaning an additional firefighter unit had to be called to put out the fire.
No injuries were reported from the fire but, “a couple of people have been displaced,” officials say.
