JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — All weekend activities related to Deck The Chairs have been cancelled due to inclement weather on the way, organizers said in a press release Friday.
Event organizers and volunteers will spend Friday and Saturday securing the lifeguard chair decorations and bringing unsecured props onto the Seawalk Pavilion stage, the release said.
Weekend concessions have been cancelled and all Saturday Pavilion stage programming is postponed, including Chair Awards announcements, The Navy Band, and several children’s holiday dance ensembles.

Deck The Chairs expects to assess the space Monday and working to make the park fully operational by Tuesday night. Plans for bringing back dance ensembles and sharing awards will be announced ahead of the Christmas holiday break.
