
The Weather Authority continues monitoring the Saturday forecast as strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, generally north of I-10 and across SE GA.
Today, expect cloudy and breezy conditions with scattered thunderstorms developing around noon in SE GA then spreading south of the state line during the evening, 60-80 percent.
Near record highs today could aid in the development of storms. The wind will be from the southwest at 15-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
Clearing Sunday afternoon with a northwest breeze. Cooler temperatures to start the week.
Timeline: Storms arrive in SE GA 10 a.m. to Noon. These will continue to spread south reaching the FL/GA line around 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. The front will continue to push across northeast Florida through around 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. with showers ending after midnight.
