
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department is on the scene of a fire reported inside a building currently under construction in the city’s Downtown area Sunday night.
The fire was reported at the building located on A Philip Randolph Boulevard and Adams Street.
A JFRD spokesperson said the fire is considered a 3-alarm fire. No injuries have been reported.
First Coast News crews saw several fire rescue vehicles on the scene along with Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office vehicles which are currently blocking off part of East Adams Street and A Philip Randolph Boulevard
The building crews are working on has been under construction for several months.
Crews also observed heavy smoke coming from the building.
Right now, it’s unclear what caused the fire.
