CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. – The Camden County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 34-year-old man for possession of one kilogram of fentanyl with a street value of about $100,000.
It was a joint operation with the United States Postal Inspection Service as they discovered that controlled substances were being shipped from California to areas of Kingsland and St. Marys, Georiga using USPS.
Marcus Isiah Milford was arrested for possession of the dangerous drug as investigators identified him as the main source for the distribution of various controlled substances throughout Camden County.
Officials executed a search warrant at Milford’s home and discovered items used to manufacture, weigh, package, and repackage various narcotics. Milford has been charged with Trafficking Illegal Drugs.
They also found $114,000 in cash and firearms in the home.
Camden County Sheriff’s Office seized firearms and money from Milford.
“As a result of this joint investigation with the United States Postal Inspection Service a large quantity of dangerous drugs were not able to be distributed to people in Camden County. A key drug dealer has been removed from the community where he provided the poisonous fentanyl drug to our citizens,” Sheriff Jim Proctor said.
There were other arrests made in California related to this case.
