JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Shanna Gardner and Mario Fernandez-Saldana are appearing together for the first time in the Duval County courthouse Friday morning for a pre-trial hearing.
Gardner and Fernandez are both accused of taking part in an elaborate plot to lure Gardner’s ex-husband, Jared Bridegan, to the site of his murder in Jacksonville Beach. Gardner, 36, faces charges of first-degree murder, solicitation to commit a capital felony, conspiracy to commit murder and child abuse, according to jail records. Gardner, Fernandez and a man named Henry Tenon, has also been charged in relation to the plot, as Tenon pleaded guilty to killing Bridegan.
