JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 44-year-old man, who has been arrested for months, is now being accused in a murder that happened in July 2023 in the Love Grove neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said they found Terrill Trumble, 28, dead inside an apartment on Pullen Road, near Lottie Street, on July 24, 2024. At that time, the cause of death was unclear but it was ruled as “suspicious.”
According to JSO, early in the investigation, they identified James Conyers as a suspect.
Conyers was arrested days after that incident, on July 31, 2023, and accused of “possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.”
Police continued their homicide investigation while Conyers was in jail, and on Wednesday, they charged him with Trumble’s murder.
