Man, woman injured in 2 separate shootings Sunday morning in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating two unrelated shootings that left two people injured Sunday morning.

The first shooting happened shortly after 5 a.m. on Crosshill Boulevard north of Argyle Forest Boulevard.

Police said there was a gathering of individuals in a parking lot, and as a woman was leaving the area in a vehicle, several shots were fired in her direction.

The woman was struck in the arm and was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The second shooting happened at around 8:50 a.m. on West 8th Street near I-95.

According to police, an adult man was shot in the neck when he was waiting at a bus stop. Police said an unknown individual pulled up in a white four-door sedan, exited the vehicle, and fired several shots in the man’s direction.

The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to JSO.

This is an ongoing investigation.
