
As the Shrimp drops and the Opossum plummets our New Year’s Eve temperatures will tumble. Not as cold as the last few days, but there will still be a chill in the air. Patchy to dense fog through early Monday with chilly temperatures and scattered showers next week expected for the first week of the New Year.

New Year’s Day: A chilly start to the New Year with fog and patchy frost. Lows in the upper 30s for SE GA, 30s to 40s for NE FL. Mostly sunny skies will become partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the low 60s for SE GA, mid to upper 60s for NE FL. Clear and cold overnight with patchy frost for inland areas. Wind W/SW 5-10 mph.
Hazards: Patchy to areas of dense fog overnight, early Monday.
Looking ahead: Scattered showers with storms possible late Wednesday, early Thursday and Saturday for the first week of the New Year.
