Over $44,000 worth of donated LEGOs stolen from V Pizza

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A local restaurant chain lost thousands of dollars for their foundation after someone stole from their San Marco warehouse recently.

V Pizza with the V for Victory organization donates LEGOs to children battling cancer.

The organization were able to serve over 825 families in 2023 as they battle cancer, distributing just over 2,000 LEGO sets to local children receiving cancer treatment.

V Pizza with V for Victory owner Paul Scott says that the last amount of their LEGOs was taken and now they have to replace them.

“It’s a great program for the kids because it takes something that is all negative for most children, which is going getting chemo or getting a spine or getting anything like that. It takes something [that’s] 100% Negative, and it makes it a positive,” Scott says.

Scott says that the thieves were able to get away with 440 children were affected by the stolen LEGO sets worth over $44,000.

He says this organization stemmed from his son having cancer.

“We as a family had the means that every time you know he had some sort of surgery or something like that, that we would go to Target afterwards and buy him a LEGO set.”
