CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A 53-year-old Palatka died Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash in Southern Clay County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The report said the man was A SUV traveling west on Warner Road about 3.5 miles from U.S. 17 at 8:50 a.m. The vehicle left the roadway and became stuck in a ditch, “for reasons yet to be determined,” troopers said.
A passing motorist stopped to assist the SUV and discovered the driver was not responsive, according to the report. Fire rescue responded and pronounced the driver dead on scene.
