CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — This is a developing story.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office have launched an investigation following a deputy-involved shooting that took place in the 3600 block of Old Jennings Road in Middleburg Tuesday.
The deputy-involved shooting happened half a mile away from Tynes Elementary School. The school was on lockdown Tuesday afternoon out of an abundance of caution due to police activity in the area, according to the Clay County District Schools Police Department. District police said no students or staff were in danger.
