Sea and Sky Air Show weather forecast

The Sea and Sky Air Show is returning to Jacksonville Beach this weekend and the weather will be great for shoreside spectators but rough for those watching by boat.

The free event — spotlighting the iconic United States Navy Blue Angels — will take place on Saturday and Sunday, October 21 and 22.

The weather will not cause problems for pilots during their jaw-dropping displays since a cold front will move across our local waters on Friday night. Any showers with the front will be long gone by Saturday morning.

There will be rough conditions for boaters watching in the Atlantic. Gusty west-northwesterly winds are expected in the wake of the front with speeds around 15 kts. and seas building to  3-4 feet.

Winds and seas will diminish Sunday marking a smother day to watch by boat.

You will want your sunglasses after Saturday morning skies give way to mostly sunny conditions in the afternoon. Sunday will be clear all day and both days will have highs in the mid 70s.
