The 67-year-old science teacher was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. — A third-grade science teacher was arrested and charged with possessing child sexual abuse material Tuesday in New Port Richey, according to the sheriff’s office.
Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a tip that 67-year-old Steven Houser possessed two photos and three videos showing sexually explicit content involving children.
Houser is a third-grade science teacher at Beacon Christian Academy located on Star Trail in New Port Richey.
None of the children featured in the photos or videos were students from the school, officials said.
However, investigators said Houser admitted to uploading three students’ yearbook photos into an AI computer program to generate “child erotica.”
The sheriff’s office does not believe there were any other victims, however, deputies do urge those who believe they are a victim of Steven Houser to contact the PSO Crime Tips Line at 1-800-706-2488 or report tips online at PascoSheriff.com/tips.
