Georgia track star Christopher Morales Williams set the world indoor record in the 400-meter dash at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. It was Georgia’s fifth men’s title in the event.
Morales Williams set the school, meet, facility, collegiate and world records by flying to a 44.49 in the final. He surpassed former USC sprinter Michael Norman’s former world indoor record of 44.52 from 2018.
The school shared the news on social media, celebrating the athlete’s accomplishment.
