JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl kicks off at noon Friday, which means drivers should expect heavy delays in downtown Jacksonville and around EverBank Stadium.
The 79th Gator Bowl will see Clemson face off against the University of Kentucky.
Traffic is expected to be extremely heavy, so if you plan on going, there are some things you should know.
The parking lots open at 7 a.m. and gates open three hours later at 10 a.m.
Spectators are encouraged to arrive early because construction around the sports complex will impact traffic patterns on game day.
Pickup and drop-off locations are on the west side of the stadium near Lot Z, which is at A. Philip Randolph Boulevard and Duval Street.
JTA’s Game Day Xpress shuttles will start picking up fans at 10 a.m. and will have final drop-off one hour after the game ends.
The shuttles will run from the JTB Park and Ride lot at JTB and Philips Highway and from the Kings Avenue Parking Garage.
Police are going to be directing traffic all around the stadium, so follow to their directions to keep traffic flowing.
Make sure you have your mobile tickets and parking passes downloaded and ready ahead of the game, and keep in mind the stadium’s clear bag and cashless policies are in place.
