
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A comfort food concept is planning to enter the Jacksonville market in the St. Johns Town Center.
Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is on the way to 10209 River Coast Drive, which is currently occupied by Ida Claire’s. Ida Claire’s has been in the space since 2019. It was formerly a Mimi’s Cafe location.
Whiskey Cake currently has one Florida location in Tampa, seven in Texas and one in Oklahoma. The chain offers brunch, cocktails and wide election of lunch and dinner entrees.
The 8,303-square-foot building was constructed in 2005. The permit will cost $890,000 and is under review by the city, records show.
Zebra Architecture is planning an interior and exterior remodel of existing building.
Whiskey Cake and Ida Claire’s are both owned by Dallas-based company FB Society.
