JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — This is a developing story.
One person was shot and has been hospitalized Tuesday morning after a shooting took place in Northwest Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says the person in the hospital, is suffering from life-threatening injuries sustained in the shooting.
First Coast News has a crew on scene at West 19th and Grunthal streets, where there is currently a police presence. A detective on scene tells First Coast News that a police briefing will be held to give more information on the incident, but no time has been set. Updates will be provided as soon as they are made available.
