Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office were observed taping off portions of the parking lot between the Five Guys and LongHorn Steakhouse Tuesday afternoon.
First Coast News crews were on the scene and captured investigators inside a blocked-off portion of the parking lot, with one officer picking up what appears to be a bullet casing left behind inside one of the parking medians.
The officer then put the object inside an evidence envelope.
Soon after, the officer returned with a metal detector to the same spot where the bullet casing was removed.
A spokesperson with JSO told First Coast News no news briefing will be held regarding the incident because no one was shot. No further information was provided by police.
