JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The right eastbound lane on Interstate 10 at Cassat Avenue in Jacksonville is closed due to a school bus that was on fire Wednesday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol. FHP says the two left lanes are open.
First responders with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department have responded to the scene, as JFRD tells First Coast News that there are no reported injuries.
“We are aware of this situation,” Duval County Public Schools tells First Coast News. “Thankfully, there were no students on board and the driver is safe. The bus is Durham bus #349.”
First Coast News has a crew at the scene and will provide updates as soon as they are made available.
