JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department told First Coast News that an unidentified adult has been taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries as there is currently police activity in the 8300 block of Galveston Avenue Friday afternoon.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a reported shooting.
Woodland Acres Elementary, just a street over from where the shooting occurred, can be seen in the below video having dismissal. First Coast News has reached out to the Duval County Public Schools and are waiting to hear back to see if the school was on lockdown at any point Friday.
